Beating Back the Devil

This conversation is the testimony of victory claimed by several members of a Facebook group called BayNatic’s, founded by Debi Smith. They are aficionados of The Church of His Presence, a revivalist, Pentecostal church in Mobile, Alabama. That church has established a unique relationship with the group. I pulled the words right off Facebook. I fixed the grammar and spelling, but the words are their own. It’s tough reading, not for the faint of heart. The paralysis is very similar to what alien abductees describe when they awaken to the awareness that there are three small beings in their bedroom.

Debi Smith: I have been under the strongest demonic attack I have ever experienced in my life. It wasn’t a dream at all. There was a being in my bed trying to rape me. Holding me down… I saw evil faces... and heard chanting. I had to be quiet cuz the girls are here and they wouldn’t understand why I was praying in tongues. It just keep going and going. I started pleading the Blood, and actually saw an evil face... and dreamt this man was in my bed forcing itself on me, holding me down. That face was just staring at me… I didn’t have the strength to push him off! It just kept going and going… I was trying to just go to sleep! Or wake up. I kept whispering in tongues… I couldn’t hardly breathe. But I kept speaking in tongues.

This battle wasn’t for the weak of heart. It was like I was in a totally different room with these creatures. I started thinking about what Graham [Cooke] says.... if the enemy is this close, think how much closer and stronger the encounter with Father will be. Then I started singing this song, in my head maybe, but it was a song I had never sung before. This is so incredible. It was SO REAL. It was like I was out of my body. I couldn’t push the thing away that was in my bed... I wanted to bite him... and bite hard! I was so determined to pray in the Spirit, even Satan his wretched self couldn’t stop me!

I wasn’t going to give in to it or them! It was like I was pushed out of my bed and trying to get back in as I started pleading the Blood [of Jesus Christ]. I couldn’t move. Then I pushed off the covers and started waking up. The voices didn’t shudder or run away when I started pleading the Blood; they started lifting and sounded like they were going away, off in the distance. Even when I was possessed [many years previous in her youth] I never experienced ANYthing like that! I thought it would never end! It just kept going and they kept forcing themselves on me. That just tells me I’m On Course! Opposition... Ha... won’t make me back off one bit. In Fact It Only Propels Me Forward... I’m pressing ON... Bless the Lord!

I was praying in tongues the whole time, and I remember getting back in the bed from the headboard and grabbing on to the post. It was there that I thought to plead the Blood of Jesus. I thought it was so strange how they left right after that. It seemed that they drifted away slowly I could hear the ruckus lessen as they got farther away.

Machelle Kaul: That is the spirit of incubus, and sucubus; one rapes women in their sleep, the other rapes men in their sleep. Had that happen to me years ago. Perry Stone did a show on these spirits last year.

Samuel Romaya: Debi, I experienced the same a few times, and the last time I experienced that was before two years ago. That evil spirit tried to strangle me with a pillow. I wasn’t dreaming nor was a vision. I remember I had my eyes opened, but I couldn’t wink or close. I couldn’t even speak in the natural… but in the Spirit, I rebuked him by the blood of Jesus and the Holy Ghost fire, and all of a sudden, he moved to my chest, and I heard a roaring sound coming from him, and he left me! Thank you Jesus, blessed be His name. We’re not afraid of those trashes.

Debi Smith: Wow, Samson, it seems those spirits have assignments to take us out. It wasn’t all a dream… and the chaotic noises I heard… it was a paralyzing experience. But even they can’t keep us down. If they are messing with us, just think how close the Father is to us. We are more than conquerors through Him. Blessed be the Name of the Most High God! Now and Forever!

Samuel Romaya: Debi, I just feel like saying this: You are moving to a new level in the Spirit. And new level means new demon or demons. But, God will never leave us nor for sake us for he is faithful and good!! We love you Jesus!!!

Oh, echo ECHO here. Amen and Amen. No devil will stop me, even if I look right in the eye of the evil one his Ugly self. I know what is Written. No weapon formed against me can harm me. The One who resides and abides in me is greater than any force outside of me.

And I’m ready. You know, the Lord started speaking to my heart about 4 weeks ago. He said what part of my inheritance word Mk 16:17-18 have I not experienced yet... that was the casting out of demons. So He warned me about this, and I listened and perked my ears up. I am not in the least bit afraid. I was made for this. I take great pleasure in doing my part of taking back what the enemy has taken from me and from others. NO FEAR... Just faith... and sheer enjoyment and delight. I totally trust My Redeemer. I will go ANYWHERE with Him. I will even walk on water with Him. Opposition is expected, and I will walk on Satan’s doomed head every time. His kingdom has been cursed, and I’m just the one to be an agent of the Living God to do Exploits for Him. When I lay my hands on the sick, it’s as if Jesus His Sweet Self lays His Hand on them. I expect Results, and fireworks!

Anna Marie Walker: I've had the same thing happen to me in my 20’s, and then again a couple nights before I went to the Bay Revival on November 16th. When it happened when I was younger, it would literally suck my breath out of me, and at the time I didn’t know that it was Satan’s demons until I told my Aunt, and she told me to plead the blood or say Jesus if I could, and I did, and it left until I was going to the revival. It was a physical fight! I was clear down at the end of my bed when it finally left after I said Jesus!

Such experiences are common in haunted places where evil spirits got a firm hold on a previous dweller who may have died there. But a present dweller living a sinful lifestyle may also trigger such presences. Debi was in the process of moving out of someone else’s apartment. But the fierceness of such attacks seems also to reflect hatred for a child of God, especially one with a call on their life.

A similar story of total victory can be found on my blog. Look up What Aliens Really Do, Part II, posted on August 30, 2012. A mother and daughter, both theologically naïve, chased one of the meanest demonic entities I’ve heard of with just a Bible and a little faith.

Churches like TCofHP teach their congregations how to fend off demonic attacks. They know they can’t do it in their own strength. They call on God. It’s troublesome that many churches will not address the question of deliverance and evil spirits at all.

Resisting Alien Abduction

Since I am not an abductee and don’t deal with them in any professional capacity, I cannot claim to be an expert on evading abduction. Once a law enforcement friend asked me what I thought would be a good defense. Since that first question, I’ve read and thought a good deal about the abduction phenomena, and I do have some additional opinions for whatever they are worth. The thoughts below are for those who do not accept the “friendly space brothers” theory of alien interaction. You see yourself as a victim, which in fact, you are.

Some have found it effective to call on the name of Jesus Christ or some other saintly entity like a Catholic saint or the Archangel Michael. But the name of Jesus does not work for everyone. Perhaps they are calling on the wrong Jesus. The biblical Jesus is the one who walked on water, raised the dead, forgave the sinners, gave us a new set of life instructions, prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem, warned his followers about the dangers of hell, was transfigured before three of his followers, and rose from the dead. Any other spin on who He is will not carry the power of heaven behind it.

Also, calling on Jesus like a magic charm is not effective. There needs to be some personal commitment because Jesus the Messiah came to rescue those who want to spend eternity with him. He is not an ATM machine where you plug in a card and get some rich reward.

However, most abductees are not Christians. Those that are, are often theologically naïve or are in conflict with the church. I have been in many different kinds of churches since 1965. I have occasionally heard of demon possession and oppression, deliverances and exorcisms, but have never have heard Christians talking about seeing UFOs in their yards or aliens in their bedrooms.

So what would I say to someone who is not a Christian and doesn’t want to be one? Here are some thoughts.

First, learn to pray. Pray to God. Pray the Lord’s Prayer and don’t stop. It ends with “deliver us from the Evil One.” Think about God in the midst of paranormal attacks. The entities that were running Robert Monroe’s life told him that there was no God. That is often the message of entities who channel through hypnotically regressed clients who are looking for past lives. Edgar Cayce, on the other hand, got the opposite message. His spirits had a great respect for Jesus. It’s all BS. They know what you need to hear and sense what they can put over on you.

They will tell you things to get you into a highly emotional state, either terror, pain, love, anger, etc. Stay calm if you can. They feed off our emotions. Screaming in rage won’t make them go away. Many of the images you will see are not real. They are illusions.

Read about the phenomenon. Jesus told us to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves. In the Bible the Enemy is often referred to mythically as a serpent. We need to understand evil without participating in it. We want to understand the enemy to defeat their tactics without falling into the same practices.

Don’t believe any messages about disasters on the planet. False prophecies abound of earthquakes, comets, tsunamis, polar shifts, nuclear wars, etc., that have come through contactees over the last hundred years or so. That includes channelers like Cayce, Ruth Montgomery, and Jean Dixon, Vance Davis, and many others. Multitudes of these predictions through even the most famous have failed to come to pass.

Live a virtuous life. If you can’t believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then think about living His teachings. Love your neighbor. Forgive those who have damaged you. Quit lying. Burn or delete the porn. Serve others unselfishly. The aliens will hate it.

Don’t let them destroy your marriage or pick your “soul mate”. If they heal you, understand that but for them, you might not have needed healing in the first place. They want you to feel grateful and beholding to them.

Remember that the emotions you feel in their presence may be psychotronically controlled by them. Don’t believe your emotions. Use your head.

Do not willingly surrender your sovereignty. Do not capitulate to their agenda and rationalize away the wrong that they do. Don’t buy the lie that they are taking us to a higher, new consciousness to help us grow. Creatures who do what they do in the night, in secret, telling us to forget, doing things against our will, controlling our children, they are NOT the ones to usher us into a higher plane of consciousness. Most of us, religious or not, are already ethically way ahead of them.

Resist. Whatever they want you to do, try not to do it. Reject them. Tell them to go away, that what they are doing is wrong, and what they are saying is a lie. Don’t whisper it. Say it boldly. Jesus told us that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us. Tell them they may NOT take your children. Pray over your children. Get your children baptized in the Christian church.

Get rid of anything in your house that may attract spiritual entities: Ouija Boards, crystals, certain cultic knickknacks from overseas, certain kinds of books or art, dragon symbols, shaman masks, etc.

Join a group where you can tell your story and get emotional and psychological support. When aliens tell you that you were chosen because you are special, understand that you were picked on because for some reason you lacked a defense and were vulnerable and available. You may have been a very young child when they first made their mark on your life. It wasn’t your fault. But once you become aware of what is going on, never cease to resist being their prey.

Interview family members like parents and grandparents to see if they have had similar experiences. The odds are great that they did. Ask God to break the family pattern of being manipulated by outside entities.

Remember, they lie. They lie. They lie. And no ‘empowering,’ attention-getting perk they offer, like the onset of psychic powers or telekinesis, is worth it.

Deliverance, Part 1, Aliens, Demons, and Ghosts

Before I can talk about deliverance, I need to discuss the topic of deliverance from what. Most people today don’t believe in demons. But demons are not the only immaterial entities creeping around our universe. There are aliens and ghosts as well, and who knows what else.

In the New Testament, Jesus made it very clear that demons can invade bodies and can be cast out of them. There is much to learn about demons by reading the New Testament. They recognized who Jesus was, they feared him, they don’t want to be cast out of the body they are in, they can manifest by making us sick or crazy, not just anyone can cast them out, they go out in the name of Jesus (often with a manifestation). Some are so entrenched that they won’t go out without prayer and fasting. Once they are out, a vacuum is created within that person. If the host doesn’t change their lifestyle and fill it with good things, those demons cast out can come back, bringing their friends.

Of course, most non-Christians would say that that is just Christian hype. Fables to scare people into submission. Many Christians are terrified of the topic and won’t discuss it.

From just anecdotes about modern day deliverance I would add that demons do not want their host person to go to church or make friends with Christians. They cause cravings. The host finds him/herself thinking about eating, drinking, smoking, gambling, sex, anger, suicide, homicide, etc. at all hours of the day and night. The person will feel hounded by these cravings until they give in. A more subtle influence is that their thought process can be affected. That woman is a tart. That person is an ugly, stupid slob who deserves to be beaten up. I hate so-and-so. Maybe I should slash their tires. The host never realizes the extent to which he/she is being affected by an alien intrusive entity. It’s never nice things. Demons aren’t nice.

Speaking of aliens, what is the difference between aliens and demons. Jesus never mentioned aliens. However, the New Testament does suggest that in the end times, our world will be invaded in a spectacular way by malicious entities. He just didn’t say how to recognize them. He warned us that the devil is a liar and the Father of liars. They can also be quite religious. They can thrive in a cult or even a legitimate church.

They love to play God. In fact, in the third chapter of Genesis, we see the sneaky serpent questioning what God had said and offering quick-fix promises that would go very sour in the end. At first meeting, the serpent was an upright, inter-dimensional, conniving entity who spoke perfect pre-Sumerian language, and was already the enemy of the biblical deity. He actually fits the description of Reptilian aliens described by so many abductees. Reptilian aliens are the meanest, cruelest, most deceptive, and sexually aggressive alien of all. Those who fall into their trap suffer greatly.

Demons don’t fly around in metallic saucers that crash or leave traces when they land. They don’t need to. Demons have paranormal abilities because they are nonmaterial, whereas aliens seem to rely on technology to accomplish seemingly miraculous events. And yet the two act so much alike, and neither of them like Jesus. The picture that comes to me is a fishing trawler out at sea. Where the boat goes the seagulls go because of the trash and throwaway fish left by the fishermen. Other creatures like sharks may also be trailing the boat, hoping to snag part of the catch.

So if your home is haunted by ghosts manifesting poltergeist activity, such as water faucets turning on and off or doors slamming on their own, or things flying around the house, you won’t necessarily be abducted by aliens. But if you are an alien abductee, odds are great that poltergeist activity will break out in the home. In case after case, that seems to be the pattern.

The question is why. It does NOT mean that the abductee is evil and bound for hell. But it does suggest an atmosphere of spiritual weakness and vulnerability. In many cases the aliens got there first, but the atmosphere created is just as amenable to ghosts and demons as to the aliens themselves. Many abductees have no idea what they are really dealing with so they blow it all off. They don’t try to change their life. If they seek spiritual enlightenment from it, which many do, it’s seldom anything Christian. They get used to it, they get lots of attention for it, and often they become psychic, and of course that feels empowering and interesting.

They don’t realize that a gang of ruffians has moved into the home. Furthermore, it’s not just about the victim. Demons and aliens both go for whole families. They’ll start working on the kids when they are just toddlers. At some point, the abductee finds out that their parents were also abductees or contactees or perhaps just witnesses to alien activities. Once the family line is breached, it will go on for generations until someone breaks the pattern by finding deliverance. A whole new fate is then decreed for the family descendants.

How do intrusive entities get in? We have a psychic skin around us called an aura that protects us from invaders the same way our skin protects us from viruses and bacteria. But just like with our own immune system, things happen to us that breaks down that protection. Sometimes it is our own choices. We do bad or destructive things that open the way. Sometimes we dabble in things that are portals without realizing it. A child is not evil because it plays with matches, but it can still set the house on fire. Playing with a Ouija board, tarot cards, certain kinds of meditation, joining a cult, messing with satan worship or voodoo can all bring a cascade of dark spirits into one’s life and home.

In my very first blog there is another means of entrance. Dr. George Ritchie had a near death experience in which he met Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He was also shown a bar in which ghostly entities that died in a spiritually negative state were hanging around wanting to smoke and drink. When one sailor fell on the floor in a drunken state, his aura cracked for a brief moment and one of the ghosts leaped into him.

Trauma is another source of entrance. People who are abuse victims are sometimes twice victimized in that the entity driving the abuser can pass into the victim. The abused person is not evil, but they will have some of the same drives and cravings later on as their abuser. Sometimes it’s just a matter of physical trauma. If you hear of someone who was in a car wreck who became psychic afterwards, you can figure that they have acquired a hitchhiker.

One last thought. Remember the serpent that enticed Eve to eat the apple, promising her life and wisdom and good food. When Yahweh curses the serpent, it loses its inter-dimensional magnificence and becomes just a regular snake. Its eyes are totally changed. It eats dust. It can’t even bark now. It crawls on its belly rather than standing upright. It becomes the earthly opposite of what it once was and what it offered Eve, one of the lowest, creepiest animals…but still dangerous.

In Isaiah 9 there is a passage about an earthly child who is born a seemingly normal human, but this child, whom we Christians know as Jesus, will be exalted to be a king with a kingdom that does not end. He is given startling names: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. As the serpent was debased, this child will be exalted. This is the child whose heel the serpent will bite, but this is the Messiah that will crush the head of the serpent.

Can you imagine scientists working on a project where they find a major key to solving the puzzle, but they don’t like that key so they ignore it for centuries. Ew, that’s for those simple, naïve Christians. We don’t need them. Well, that is exactly what is going on in the world of paranormal science and research today.

But, my fellow Christians, it’s partly our fault. Most of US don’t believe in malicious spirits and most of us wouldn’t know what to do about them if we did. We carp about creationism until we drive every scientist out of the church. We often represent Christ so badly in so many ways, we drive the world away. It’s no wonder they don’t look to us for answers.
